Seeking Occasional In-Home Senior Care for 94 yr Old w/ Acute Dementia in Dayton, Washington
Updated: Jun 30
I am looking for an experienced caregiver who can offer occasional in-home care to my grandmother in Dayton, Washington.
Grace is 94 and can do most self-care tasks herself (getting dressed, toileting). She has acute dementia, but is fairly independent.
We mostly need help with occasional meals and supervision, with occasional hair-brushing/doing and setting out clothes for her. We could also use assistance with light housekeeping. We may (on very rare occasions) need someone overnight, but we will try to avoid that if we can.
Our family are all taking turns staying there to help her, but we all live 5+ hours drive away and can't always be there. So the hours and days we would need someone would be varied based on our availability. Just to "fill in the gaps" essentially.
One of her daughters does live there, but has her own disabilities that prevent her from providing the level of care my grandmother needs, but she is always there to assist if you have any questions or need any help with something.
We are able to afford between $15-25/hour, depending on experience, and will require 2 professional references and potentially a background check. We would prefer an in-person interview as well if you are available for one, we can do a video interview if you aren't able to do an in-person one.
Please send your cover letter, resume and references information to firstname.lastname@example.org
Your cover letter does not have to be overly formal, just an explanation of your experience, and what qualifies you for senior care.
Feel free to ask any questions in the comments below and I will answer them as soon as I am able!
Thank you! I look forward to learning more about you!
